After a lot of speculation, Apple finally managed to release its updated iOS 5.0.1 mobile operating system. The new update includes many features such as impending fix for bugs affecting iPhone battery life, adds multitasking gestures to the first-generation iPad and resolves some varied issues.
Apple has also stated that iOS 5.0.1 is compatible with the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad and iPad 2, as well as third- and fourth-generation iPod Touch devices.
How far do you think this new update will be effective? The initial reports from the users have been positive so far; will have to wait for few more days to get the detailed report.
Also the updated feature lets iPad users take advantage of multi-finger gestures to navigate between apps, and access certain features--notably pinching together the screen to go back to the home screen.
Take a look at the key features:
· Fixes bugs affecting battery life
· Adds Multitasking Gestures for original iPad
· Resolves bugs with Documents in the Cloud
· Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation
Covering almost all the flaws, iOS 5.0.1 also fixes a security issue with Apple's Smart Cover for the iPad 2 that would let users gain access to whatever app the owner of that device was running, even if they didn't know that user's lock screen password.
We hope, this software update will leave a long lasting impression, and also with an anticipation that we get more such updates and new releases in the mere future.
